DishView now on the Apple App store!

Zenvita has recently developed its first (free) iPhone application called DishView, which allows you to view dishes before ordering!

Have you ever wondered what certain dishes on a menu looked like or been served a dish that was different from what you envisioned? Well, now you can view photos of dishes and confirm it with your waiter before ordering!

DishView currently has thousands of dishes, including Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Indian, and Korean cuisines. Expect to see more European cuisines in the next couple weeks.

To find a photo of a dish, simply search for the dish on DishView. Didn’t find the dish? Order it and upload your own photo of the dish! Your dish will be instantly searchable by others!

Click on the image below to see a video of DishView in action.

We are working on our next version of DishView, which will allow you to rate dishes and view ratings of dishes. We welcome any feedback or suggestions you have in helping us improve DishView. Please post a comment below or contact us at dishview_feedback@zenvita.com.

We’re glad you like the idea! In fact we want to encourage professional photographers like yourself to contribute to DishView. To this end we will be exposing some tools that enable photographers to upload high quality photos to the database. Let’s chat by email about this.

  10. Allen says:

Neato, nice app. It’d be cool to be able to swipe your finger to navigate between images (for a specific food) - kinda like the Photo app. But good job, makes me hungry…

Thanks! We aren’t stopping at the launch. Just this weekend we added hundreds of Japanese, Korean, and Thai dishes. Don’t know what Korean Dubujeon is? How about Japanese Gyudon? Find it on DishView!

Thanks! We are looking into adding swipe and pinch functionality, just like the photo app. Look for the update soon!
